Profile – Ustaz Dr Ayman al-Akiti

Ustaz Dr Ayman al-Akiti was born and grew up in Kuala Lumpur.


He started his early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Damansara (SKBD) at the age of 13. He has a vast experience in religious studies beginning from the traditional Islamic Studies he received from many Indonesia’s Pesantren. After he had completed his study in Nidhomiyyah Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum Kediri, he was promoted to be an Ustaz at the Pesantran and has served for 6 years.

He was actively involved in forum Bahtsu al-Masail also known as Muzakarah Fatwa dan menjawab persoalan umat under Nahdatul Ulama Organization.

He furthered his Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Jurisprudence at STAIN Kediri and passed with cum laude.
In 2010, he travelled to Maghribi and continued his Master’s Degree at the University of Hassan II, Casablanca in Islamic Theology, and he passed with Honours in 2013. He succeeded to defend his Master’s thesis entitled: Usul al-Adillah al-Aqadiyyah inda Uthman al-Salaliji (w.574H) fi Kitabihi: al-Aqidah al-Burhaniyyah.

In 2014, he then furthered his PhD at the University of al-Qarawiyyin in Faculty of Usuluddin on Islamic Theology.


He is also active in presenting papers at the international seminars in Maghribi and Europe in different fields such as Kalam, Fiqh and Tasawwuf.

Academic works he has published on the topic of Kalam;

1- Aqidah Abi Amr Uthman al-Salaliji fi Kitabihi: al-Aqidah al-Burhaniyyah wa al-Fushul al-Imaniyyah (Journal Penyelidikan Islam JAKIM 2012);

2- Usul al-Adillah al-Aqadiyyah inda Uthman al-Salaliji (w. 574H) fi Kitabihi: al-Aqidah al-Burhaniyyah;

3- Juhud Ulama Buldan Melayu fi Khidmati al-Aqa’id al-‘Asy’ariyyah;

4- Atsar Ulama al-Gharb al-Islami ala al-Da’wah al-Islamiyyah fi al-Alam al-Melayuwi.


He has taught Nusantara students in Maghribi. Currently he travels across Malaysia to teach communities.
